IPC requires recertification of all IPC certifications every two years.  There are four ways to accomplish this re-certification.

1. Re-certify by taking a two day re-certification class.  This class is divided into a review session and a testing session.  The review hits the highlights of the specification and allows for some question and answer discussions.

2. Re-certify by challenge.  This re-certification method is the path most often taken by former CTI students because it can be done in a one day time period and is much more flexible as far as scheduling goes.  For this certification you need to call CTI to schedule a day with one of our registered instructors for the spec you are re-certifying to.  Come to our office that day and take the required test and workmanship skills demonstrations for your spec.  The instructor will entertain any questions regarding the spec you may have before you take the test but there is no formal review.  This recertification works best for those instructors and specialist that have been working with the spec over the past two years since their original certification.

3. Re-certify by full Certification.  The method of re-certification is the student taking the full class.  Highly recommended for instructors that have not taught during their two years of certification and specialist that have not been using the specification during the two years of certification.  CTI offers a discount to students returning and re-certifying with this method over the initial certification.  This method also allows the students to see and discuss new developments in the industry.  Also any time the revision of the specification changes a full class for re-certification is HIGHLY recommended.

4. Re-certify by attending the last two days of a regularly scheduled instructor class.  The cost for this is the same as the 2 day pricing.
